Hygiene plays an important role in preserving our dog's teeth. Be patient in encouraging him during brushing time as this will be very important. As for dog toys, give him something to chew on because this will remove plaques on your dog's teeth. Raw bones also works best, just be sure to monitor him when he's chewing it. Eager dogs tend to destroy even the hardest bone. I assume you already know the harm of bones to our beloved furry babies. If you want the best for him, brush his teeth twice a day. Find some ways to make him behave. I have experiences with using water additives and none of the ones I've tried were effective. There are also a lot of myth about that so I suggest you do your research first before trying out anything. Also, a raw diet might be effective.
