I should maybe mention we are in a new area and are across the country form he regular vet. It is difficult in a new area, finding the right fit in a vet.
I am at my wits end with this. She is ten years old and a little one. She weighs five and a half pounds and is a bit overweight. She was four and a half pounds for many years.
I wanted to specifically ask you about the Convenia injection. Did you have any adverse effects with this? I have done some reading and it sort of scares me a bit since she is ten, now.
Thank you in advance for any advice you have to give. It will be much appreciated. |
If there is a true staph infection (called "pyoderma" in dogs, caused by staph intermedius)...you do need antibiotics for it -- but what antibiotics were given previously I wonder....?
We always do Simplicef x 30 days when Wylie has one of his recurrent infections.
