For flea and ticks I use front line plus, it has always worked for me.
As far as comfortis, that is in pill form given by mouth. I have ONLY used Comfortis when one of my dogs was infested with fleas. Comfortis comes in 2 forms, one kills adult fleas, larva, baby fleas and eggs, the other DOES NOT kill baby fleas, larva and eggs, ONLY adult fleas. If you do go with the Comfortis make sure you get the one that kills in all stages. It works great, I'm just not crazy about giving flea / tick protection orally. Speak to your vet.
