I was so hysterical I am almost embarrassed to go back to the vet. Anyway, they took her into the back and looked at her. She has hemmorging in her eyes, and they told me to watch and and sent me home with pain drops for her. They did give her a shot of pain meds. but she is just not acting right. I suppose the shock and pain med combo might be causing her to act this way, and she is probably really sore. They said thank god she didn't land on her head, she landed on her left side. The vet didn't even tell me what to look for as danger signs.....I feel so guilty and so so awful ! I don't know what to expect now ???? I feel like such a bad person......I can't believe I dropped my furbaby ! I love her so much and I am so sad this happened. Thanks for listening |
I went through a similar situation a few weeks back. I think Gidget fell off our porch and I found her lying there limp, bleeding from the nose and mouth. Completely out of it. I thought she was dying! I rushed her to the ER vet, I was histarical! I thought she was dying in my arms. i just kept telling her to hold on! Tears were steaming down my face! When I got her there they took her to the back and did X-Rays. There were no broken bones. Just sore, and Lots of shock. They sent her home the next morning, she was not her self at all! It really took her a few days 3-4 to get back to herself. She was even having trouble holding up her head. I just made sure she had a confined area to sleep and rest, that way she didn't over do herself. I also gave her nutrical when she looked weak, just a little on the end of my finger to keep her sugars up. And I gave her wet food, so it would be easier to eat than hard food. She is doing fine now. Playful pup again! If there is anything that I can do for you please let me know, just send me a PM. I will be on here most of the day tomorrow. If you have any questions just send me a pm. Good luck, and thank God this wasn't worse!
p.s. - please don't feel like this is your fault. These things happen all the time. You are a good mom for caring so much!
