I have had many pups with bladder stones and they had no issues whatsoever following surgery. My vet did some...but the others were done by a soft tissue surgeon. One that was done by a specialist ended up with a liver shunt....often pups with no symptoms of a liver shunt will end up with bladder stones as adults and that is when the shunt is discovered...here is a link about one of my pups who this happened to:
