I don't have any personal experience with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, but here is a very good article from PetMD:

The symptoms, especially the eye symptoms and difficulty in walking, sound similar to what is described in this article. Hopefully your vets are on top of this. If you think they are not, you might want to find a specialist.
