 Sick yorkie w confused Vets
9 mo old Lola (pictured w brother Moose)first started w eye ulcers. while being treated for them she started to stumble, as if her front legs didn't work anymore. top notch animal hosp suspected encephilitis after MRI and spinal tap. has been on prednisone 2x day since. shows improvement the takes a step back. the whites of her eyes are bloody and she seems to have a new scab/cut every day and bruising on her side. tested positive for Rocky Mountain spotted fever and is now on antibiotic in addition to prednisone and eye meds. both family vet and hospital are admittedly scratching their heads because any improvement is slight. she shakes constantly, tips over and cries one day and runs through the park like a gazelle the next (although it's been a week since she last did that). anyone have any experience w something similar? |
