Honestly, I'm not sure a second opinion two weeks ago would have changed this. Maybe you could've broken the cough temporarily but there's no cure. Xrays don't always diagnose the CT because it's a dynamic condition. So maybe your vet wasn't misdiagnosing him as much as she didn't see evidence on an X-ray and in a very young dog she wasn't highly suspicious. They aren't God. But I wouldn't be going back... I know I couldn't. She didn't have it right, and that would bother me. I would let her know this because anytime a yorkie is coughing with a tracheal sound it should be within the diagnostic rule outs. You're not alone though, my last stupid vet gave me Claritin for Barney for his cough and said it was allergies. I already knew he had CT and was fuming.
