I think I'd rather have a student like your daughter who is not afraid to tell me what's on her mind, even to that extend. Why? I'd know how to work it out with her and talk it out with her.
But, with students that "hide" and won't communicate except through their parents, I find it difficult to work with. I don't know what they're thinking and thus don't know how to help them.
Again, good job raising your daughter!
