I think it is awesome we have so many choices now days. I am old enough to remember if a dog got "too" sick or hurt, then you just put them down. I don't recall a vet being within 30 miles of where I lived as a child. Nor do I recall my folks ever taking a dog to the vet for
anything. I am glad the tides are changing and we now have more choices on how to care for our furry kids.
I went with the $500.00 deductible by deciding $10,000 a year outlay (say the little guy was hit by a car or bit by a snake---easily could be $10,000) then that would be 80% if $10,000 plus $500.00, so $2500.00 plus incidentals the insurance does not cover.
I think it is awesome we can each pick what fits our budget and lifestyle rather than a one size fits all insurance options.
