I have numerous neutered males, and while it is not a definite stop for marking, I have NO neutered males that mark! I got all mine neutered right about 8 months old, after the growth plates have matured, and none of them mark. A couple of them had already started to lift and mark, so they went in immediately for their neuter....worked great, nipped it in the bud! This has been happening for me for at least 20 years, so I do not think it is a fluke! You need to get on this immediately, if it is going to work for you....the longer he has those male hormones circulating, the harder it is to "fix"....
If he is already starting to mark, "very soon" neutering had better be in a couple of days!
