The best thing to PREVENT hypoglycemia is Dr.Millers Nutra Drops...you get it on Amazon.com. I think they have bought the rights from Dr.Miller and removed his name....it is now called Health Extension Nutra Drops. It is a vitamin fortified tonic, rather than straight sugar bolt like syrup and sugar, etc....Karo and other syrups, that stuff in a tube (?? NutraCal ??) just boosts their sugar up to keep them from hypoglycemia, but then they must eat afterwards, because this stuff does nothing but give them a quick sugar jolt, to prevent them from dropping from lo blood sugar....the stuff I use and recommend is vitamine fortified and will stay with them as well as elevate their blood sugar for a much longer period of time.....you can give your pup doses of Nutra Drops every 4 hours for as long as 24 hours, like on plane trips or long car rides, and they will do fine on it....PLEASE use this stuff as opposed to NutraCal which is nothing but a thick, gooey, bolt of sugar stuff that jerks them back from the jaws of death for an hour or so...it is NOT nutritious....they can not live on it for 24 hours....it is an emergency treatment....the Nutra Drops from Health Extension will not only keep their sugar up, it is healthy and you can give it when they cant eat like on car trips, plane trips, etc....and they will be just fine on it....PLEASE, order this from Amazon.com and give this baby 1cc by mouth, every 4-5 hours...it will stabilize his sugar, you wont be having highs and lows and all the uncertainty....I THINK it is against the law in Texas to off load a puppy before 8 weeks old in the State of Texas....my mind, heart, and soul is continually broken by the proliferation of people dumping under aged enfants on people that are not equipped to nurture these immature, under aged, babies.....It breaks my heart and it is sooooooooo discouraging to continually see people running out and buying illegally sold puppies, then struggling to keep these babies alive....this is soooo wrong, on so many different levels. I feel like some of us are continually banging our heads on a brick wall, and it is doing absolutely ZERO good....

Puppy mousse with warm formula stirred into it to make a slush like the consistency of a loose mush that he can easily lap up. (You can add 1/2cc of the Nutra Drops to this feeding, but be sure he eats all the feeding)

WHAT "formula" are you feeding? PLEASE, feed a canned formula, go out and buy cans of JUST BORN with COLOSTRIUM....cut the 8 oz of canned formula with 4 oz of Pedialyte.....put the serving in a zip lock bag and heat it in hot water from the faucet.....this puppy can drink this formula between meals of mousse with some of the warmed formula stirred into it to make it a slush.......you can even add 1/2cc of the Nutra Drops to this mixture, so he gets his sugar....

PLEASE, get this baby the Health Extension Nutra Drops and give baby 1cc every 6 hours....the baby will love it and it is great for the baby...it is vitamins and balanced, NOT just a bolt of sugar like Karo or NutraCal....you can mix a 1/4cc into into his meal of mousse if you want to, even 1/4cc into his milk formula......just be absolutely sure he gets the dose because if he does not eat, it will be the Nuta Drops that keep his calories and his nourishment and his sugars up.....you must keep up with how much Nutra Drops he is getting in 24 hour period, simply to be sure his blood sugars stay on an even keel....if he is not finishing his entire meal of mousse or his entire amount of formula, then you are safer to just give it directly into his mouth, every 4-6 hours, around the clock...

He is getting constipated because of his meals...if you stick with the mousse, and supplement his feedings with the JUST BORN puppy milk, his stools will get right....
