I am so sorry. This must be truly horrifying. We lost our elderly laborador fairly suddenly (5 days from healthy to gone) and it was very hard. It helps to take time away. Hug your living dog. Talk to your SO or some other trusted person who will just listen. Cry as much as you need to.
We definitely understand. My sweet little chihuahua has CT as well as other health troubles, and he's a senior. I worry about him a lot.
