Oh yes please! Smile. Funny how sentimental I can become and want to see something from someone I have already grown a respect and trust for huh?

I admire you owners who are able to groom your dogs.

I am far too nervous to think of trimming Monty. His hair does not grow very fast though which is a good thing. He also doesn't knot or mat very much which is a pleasant surprise! Black toe nails ... shudder! Won't even attempt it.

He does sit/stand fairly well for me though. I have worked with "focus" with him so I can now give him a treat while his eyes are glued to mine. He also knows "stay" and "leave it" to the point that I can put the most delicious treat between his paws with him laying down and he won't touch it until I say okay.

The layer I am working on now is placing him in a position on the counter and getting him to hold it. Tricky! His wee mind is trying to compute lol. I am hoping that when he fully understands that I don't want him to move, then he will be better able to respond to "come" as he will be more in tune with looking to me for direction. At least this is my hope. When we are out in the world ... it's all way too exciting.

Life is just amazing ....
