As Gemy was indicating, my biggest concern would be that she might fall from the grooming table and be held by the neck or wherever you put the collar (some loops go around the body).
Working in your lap is difficult. I trained my boys on a counter using my body to block them from falling. Although they are well trained, I still keep one hand on them at all times.
It's going to take a lot of patience, but definitely keep working on training. Be calm, confident, and patient. Even my boys can still frustrate me sometimes when they are not in the mood for grooming.
Don't try to do everything at once. I usually trim my boys' paws and ears and then let them go. I brush teeth separately. Comb faces and clean ears separately. Bathe and then dry. Give them a break, then comb out thoroughly. I break up the grooming. Granted, you probably want to do all of the trimming on one day.
I also employ a lot of massage and sweet talking. That helps them enjoy the process too.
