[QUOTE=anneclaire;4622400]It maybe should be under grooming , but I am not sure.
My question is this. Spice has owned me for a year now and she is 19 mo old. One of my worse fears have been about her trachea . I have never put a collar on her and use only buddy belts . Are the trachea's really that tender that a collar could harm her??? The reason for asking , I do not have a groomer for 80 miles and I groom her myself. For some reason she has gotten to where she wont let me trim her with scissors or the clippers. She will squiggle and squirm so much I cant hang onto her. I bought her a regular grooming table but I am so afraid of putting anything around her neck I havent used it.
If she would hold still I could have it done in 5 min or less.
I have tried treats, gentle talking , and everything I could think of.
Does anyone have any ideas????
This thing of snipping here and t
Have you trained her to stay at all? Like stay in a seated position on the floor? Have you used corrections at all in the training? Do you know how to train stay> This is pro forma for training stay on grooming table.
I don't like the nooses especially since my big boy had a bad accident with one ( my fault of course)
Dang it all I gotta make a beginners video on basic bathing n grooming
