Just an FYI, no dog has a "right" to be in a store.
Only the disabled person has the right to use whatever means are necessary to mitigate their disability, which includes service animals. However, even a service animal can be banned under the right conditions.
Of course, some places allow animals, which is great. Non-disabled people frequenting places that welcome dogs does not jeopardize service dog access.
Taking a dog into a place that does not welcome animals could easily jeopardize the laws that so many rely on to allow them to go out into the public more freely. Being allowed to take our service animals in with us is a right of the person, but it is a right that we could lose if it is abused by the masses.
I cannot even describe how much Mario has helped my daughter be able to go out into the public and to doctors appointments. I would surely hate to see her lose this tremendous benefit/freedom we have found in Mario. Additionally, I would be very unhappy to discover that the last year I spent intensively training Mario to meet/exceed public access test criteria was for naught.
