Consider reading through all the very useful information provided above on the term "teacup yorkie" and also through this helpful post: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/fea...ead-first.html

Whatever you do, please don't be in a hurry and buy one from a 'backyard breeder' on Craigslist or Kijiji. Take your time and do your research. Yorkies are a very delicate breed. If you're looking specifically for a small sized Yorkie, know in advance all the serious health implications that may come with a small Yorkie that wasn't bred by a reputable breeder, where the an unethical / ill-informed breeder** risks unknown inherited diseases just to sell you a 'teacup doll-faced' Yorkie. These potential health issues can result in a lot of grief, emotionally and financially. At the end of the day, the puppies that were bred ignorantly this way who end up suffering are the most innocent. We just want to make sure everyone is aware and that the best way to prevent breeding sick puppies is to seek reputable breeders.

**anyone who breeds two dogs can call themselves a "breeder"; it doesn't mean they know what they're doing or know the bloodlines and health history of the dogs they're breeding.
great post was going to recommend the same breeder
