After realizing the cause of her being sick, I've also noticed comments and forums all over the internet complaining of the same problems with diarrhea & vomiting with their dogs. Lately, there has been a lot of issue of them having mold in them. Also, with the meat "by-products" in the ingredients, there are some interesting chunks of stuff in the food that many people have complained about.
Like I said, we were only using it for the wetness so I wasn't concerned about making sure that our dog got actual nutrition from it, since the nutrition aspect was filled from the BB food, but to see how sick it has made her is frightening. For 79 cents each for those little tiny packs, they really should not be so low of quality as they are. By low quality, I'm referring to not only my own opinion, but all the research that is out there proving it is a one star food. Your cousin's dogs may not be getting sick from it, but I can guarantee there is very little actual nutrition they are getting from Cesar. They may "love it," but kids like McDonalds too.. |
5 star according to the DFA, the human dentist who often gives foods 5 stars that end up recalled?
I don't trust his reviews at all!
IMO it is more important WHO puts the food in the bags and cans that what they put in. Not to say there is no validity to looking at ingredients, but quality control is MOST important.
When I want to know about dog food, I reach out to vet nutritionists who are more qualifed...much more so that than anyone imo.
www.petdiets.com is one of them.
