Some people have bashed them because of the chicken jerky issues. I feel that they are a good company. You might want to reach out and ask them what changes they will make.
I have always avoided Merrick because of the many recalls...but, those were for treats. It was just that it concerned me that a company had so many issues.
I am sure others will come along with some feedback for you.
