try taking the pad and soaking up the pee from the carpet on to the pad and say "potty here good boy" that's what I do everytime he has an accident he's been really good about it lately but I "set him up for success" I put him on the pad each time he was from a nap, after playing with him, when I see that he just drank some water I wait about 10-15 min and put him on the pad I tell him go potty when I place him on that pad and he goes on command same with pooping he goes at least twice in the morning and after he eats I wait about 30 min and I place him on the pad and say "go poopoo potty" and he goes. It's a process you just have to be persistent. Happy training!
