I mix 3 days worth at a time, refrigerate it and scoop it out each day. If my protein is hot I don't reheat it, otherwise I micro it. I also cook 1-3 days of meat at a time. I always try to have the Preference pre-mixed, but you are right, she does get antsy waiting for it. I cook her meat, so once she smells that......
I use 1/3 cup re-hydrated and 1/3 cup cooked meat or chicken. Does that sound ok? She is not gaining weight and is walking longer I think.
A 3 lb box cost me about $32 and will last me about 2 months. I'm on the first box and still have a decent amount left. I got it on Jan 11. I can get it for less on Amazon and even less per pound if I get the 7 lb box. Not sure if I should get the 7 lb box as it will be open for over 4 months.... |
