Welcome! He is awful young to be potty trained and not have accidents; however, I think you are doing the right thing with the pen. That's what we did with our baby. We simply told (and still tell when he gets excited sometimes) Zeusy no bite (very firmly). It seems to have worked pretty well. We got our baby at 11 1/2 weeks, and the vet told us to free feed him until 16 weeks old for fear of hypoglycemia. Our snobby baby wouldn't and won't eat canned food (he is very persnickety about smells) as he hates the smell. Turns his nose and walks away; so, he eats dry kibble. Good luck with your new baby and enjoy, because it goes by so fast. My baby is now 16 months old and has full reign of our house while we work.
