I rescued an 8-year old Yorkie a week ago. I've taken her to the vet twice - first as a general check up and today to get pre-anesthetic blood tests before she gets her teeth cleaned; her mouth smells really awful, it's impossible to let her get close to anyone. Anyway, these tests all came out normal. I also decided to get her checked out for sandfly and her test result was borderline sandfly as her previous owner/s kept her outdoors during the day. My vet told me she will have to get tested again in four weeks time and it is possible that the test was false-negative. Has anyone's Yorkie received a borderline sandfly blood test result please? Thanks.
