PLEASE remember this is an under aged enfant you have....should still be on mother's milk from momma dog, with the introduction of puppy food slowly starting around 4-5 weeks old....I usually start mine on a pablum mixture of milk formula and mixed with canned puppy food just to introduce them to something other than momma's milk. Most of your baby's nutrition SHOULD be coming from momma at this age. You should be feeding this baby a high quality puppy food....preferably a canned, easily digestible formula....if you are going with a kibble, soften it into mush consistency with warm formula....please remember you were taken advantage of by someone that dumped an immature baby dog on you...this puppy SHOULD still be nursing for 90% of its nourishment! Feed this baby MUSH! Either canned puppy formula food, or puppy food that has been dissolved into a mush....pablum consistency food for the STILL developing internal system....TEETH are just a very small portion of the required implements necessary to process food into usable nutrition for an enfant.....forget the teeth!!! You are trying to supply nutrition in a highly digestible form that this underage baby can process in it's immature digestive tract....dont make it any more difficult for this baby!
Feed mush! Mushed up puppy blend dog food, preferably from a can! It should be mixed with a puppy formula milk, to compensate for the milk it has been deprived of from momma. As the puppy gets older.....10 weeks old....you start to feed straight canned puppy food (RC calls this "Starter Mousse").....as the baby gets to 12 weeks old, you are feeding a quality puppy kibble that is formulated especially for puppies (RC calls this formula "Babydog")....it will be "hard" kibble, but it will be softer than what you feed to a youngster....when the baby is 14-16 weeks old, advance to kibble.....RC calls this mini puppy)....puppy stays on this formula until a year old.
Your baby is an exception to the rule, that is, you are dealing with a baby that was deprived of mother's milk all this time...you must supplement this deprivation through an excellent quality puppy milk, that you then use to soften up canned puppy specific food, so it is like a thick soup....then you start progressing to more complex formulas .....remember, you are jumping WAY ahead of what this baby can adequately digest to provide the necessary building blocks to ensure this baby develops organs and a system that is the best it can/should/was meant to be!
The mere appearance of teeth in this baby's mouth is nothing to even concern yourself with! You are trying to provide proper and adequate nutrition to developing organs and cells on the inside of this baby!
