Adding to what JadeD wrote, don't worry if it is not love at first sight. Sometimes it happens, but not always. My boys were happy to meet each other in our hotel lobby, but when we went back our room, the older one was ready to establish his position. Let the dogs do this. As long as you do not see anything dangerous, don't interfere.
We had some jealousy issues the first few months, but they were easily resolved. Things like establishing eating places and beds.
Make sure your older one has a place to escape the puppy antics when she wants. Max was able to jump on the couch to get away. Teddy couldn't jump that high.
