I will not tolerate any of my dogs biting or snarling with aggression, towards me! I am pack leader and will not tolerate aggressive behavior towards me, for ANY reason....NO EXCUSES! That does not include separating fighting dogs and one mistakenly getting me instead of the other dog....that has only happened once here....my dogs are separated into non fighting groups.....but I have no aversion to swatting a dog with a rolled up paper for threatening me or attacking me....I am pack leader and do not tolerate challenges.....you can even handle it like any pack leader handles a challenge to their authority....quickly and securely snatch a grasp on the dogs scruff (part of the neck that mommas carry their young by), push the dog to the ground in a submissive position, and "growl" "NO!" and hold pup in that position for 3-5 seconds. Then let pup up, ignore him for a few seconds, then you can start to interact with him again. Do NOT let him have his way in this argument...you keep going until you get the task done.

I would not ever let one of my dogs "tell" me what "they" will "allow" me to do with them! THAT behavior is stopped immediately, no questions asked! Consequently, I have no problems with biting dogs, timid dogs, fearful dogs, etc....they know I am pack leader, they already know what I will tolerate and not tolerate, and none of them are cowardly, or fearful of my hands....

Now, that does not mean they submit to everything I try to inflict on them....like grooming, bathing, clipping nails, brushing, etc.....I have some that would stand quietly on one leg, and let me do anything I wanted to do to them....but I have some that act like I have inflicted torture on them, trying to get "sleepers" from the corner of their eyes....they may struggle, they may twist and turn which is fine with me, I understand and I tolerate that with absolutely no problem....but they have never snarled, growled, or bared teeth at me.....THAT will not be tolerated and they know that is a line they do not cross..... But my dogs have no aggression in their breeding...they are not aggressive towards humans.....THAT has more to do with it than probably anything else.
