I also say go for it! I was also thinking, perhaps the deafness might be from the infection. Hopefully anyway.
Also wondered, how do they know if a female is spayed or not without actually going in there? I mean unless you are there while she is in heat, how could you know?
I always have a soft spot for strays, esp ones that let you help them instead of running away. And even more esp for stray small dogs. They had to overcome so much to survive out there on their own.
