I've had a Yorkie for the past seven years and I just recently adopted a shepherd chow mix. Whenever the puppy tries to initiate play, the Yorkie bares her teeth and attacks. She also mistakes us playing with the puppy for aggression and rushes to defend us. My Yorkie was exposed to other dogs as a puppy and got along fine but when she met one nippy chihuahua she completely changed. She still plays well the the dogs she met before but can't seem to make any new friends. She is curious though, she's always trying to sneak a sniff in and whenever she starts attacking she farts every time. I just want them to get song since they're going to be spending a lot of time together and also I don't want the shepherd to get older and snap on my little Yorkie. Any suggestions or thoughts?
