I actually would think these Susan Lanci ones would tangle MORE due to the wideness of the straps. You have to part the hair either way on these are the BBs to prevent tangles. I just have a preference of buckles over velcro. I hate the sound of velcro tearing open, and eventually you will have to replace it. that is just the nature of velcro. The loops will get worn down. A metal buckle will never get worn down.

Also BBs are real leather, SL uses ultrasuede, while that is a quality material, it is still just fabric. But if you are looking for a vegan friendly option, that would be it. Plus points for SL for being made in the USA though. But those prices, ouch!
