We woke up two days ago and Phoebe had a red knot on her hip a little bigger than a quarter and running a fever. The vet said it looked to her like a spider bite and her temp was 103. They put her on antibiotics and we have to keep warm compresses on it. Last night it started to open a little and this morning it started draining and you could clearly see the infection coming out. She is still not herself . Hoping for a quick recovery I do not like seeing her like this
Has anyone seen or had this happen? Would love to share the pictures in the stages we saw , but at the same time I do not want to gross anyone out.
