She is obsessed with my husband which is good, maybe she can soften him up a bit! We had one minor set back, while in her x-pen last night she peed in her bed and started to cry and woke us up. We gave her a bath and washed her bedding at 2am lol. I think it was because the blanket she had in bed with her was rubbed on mama to get her scent so it was the only familiar smell to her. I took all of the advise I read on here and she is now using her puppy pad. YAY!! I am so proud of her. Here's a sneak peak, but I'm hoping my thread shows up after it gets approved. |
Aaaaaaawwwwwwwhhhhhhh! What a sweetheart!
BEGIN becoming the alpha dog -- YOU not your baby. If she tries to get your attention by scratching your legs, move the leg and turn your back to her. JUST told her to wait until invited. After a couple of minutes turn back around and pet her IF she does not jump on you again. If her little toes go on your leg again repeat her lesson and she will get the body language message loud and clear BUT you must be consistent. If you give in just once she will know she can get away with USUALLY unacceptable behavior if she repeats the behavior x-number of times.
May take a few times but you do not want her jumping up and putting a run in your stockings when you are going out for a wonderful date with your husband.

[If he does not have a date lined up - You make all the arrangements and surprise him. (Worked for my fiance before he fell-in-the-line.
James had a wonderful time sharing that with the other guys on his watch.
Still miss him after 45 yrs).]
