On average most of my yorkies puppies gain 4 ozs a week until 7 to 8 weeks, then they slow to 2 to 3 ozs.
This is for my bigger ones who's moms were 8 to 9 lbs. The puppies from smaller moms gained 2 to 3 ozs weekly on average, then down to 1 oz weekly.
I wanted to get an estimated adult weight at 5 weeks so I added the average ozs they were gaining to their 5 week weight and they weighed what I estimated at 8 weeks. I still have two little boys waiting to go to their home in a couple weeks and their adult weight average remains the same at 3 months now too.
