We brought Zeusy home at 11 weeks, and he was trained by 13 weeks to pee. The poo took about a week longer, so 14 weeks totally trained. He has never had 1 accident in our home. We did not crate train. We gated him in our laundry room which has enough room for bed, food, water, and pads (with a small amount of room to move outside of those areas). He was changed to gating in the kitchen/laundry room with lots of room to move at about 15 weeks. He now has free reign of our den, kitchen, and laundry room. He used to be able to go the bedroom, but we had to take his ramps away from him due to luxating patellas and Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease. Since it is upsetting for him to not be able to get on "his" king size bed during the day, we gate him out of that room now. |
