Some people cover the crate with a light blue cover on the back and side facing the visitor(s). Top can also be covered if there is any cold air coming into the crate -- window, fan, air duct -- to prevent it coming in on your baby. You can place a small bowl of kibble in it -- with a treat "hidden" in the bottom for extra special reward.

You might find that she likes her new cave. Most dogs love to have a space away from everything. All of my service dogs must have a special place for their den. This is their private time place. Once your company leaves, you should not remove the crate but lock the door open so she can go in and out as she pleases.
