I am new to this site. My husband bought me a Morkie fir Christmas. She of course is precious. We were to Virginia this weekend and she got really sick. I ended up taking her to a veterinary hospital in Virginia. Her blood sugar level was extremely low and they said that had I not taken her in she would have died that night. After getting her levels up they tested her for liver functions. Her liver function was good but her ammonia level was very high. After returning home to Pa and seeing my vet here she said she didn't think she would survive. Does anyone have any suggestions or treatments they have tried on puppies with liver shunt problems? |
