Like all dogs (and like us lowly humans
)...they are all SO individual in their personalities...but...remember that yorkies *are* terriers, so they can be just full of all that that entails: energy, stubbornness, protective, smart, independent, sassy. But I love love love this breed - it's so fun! They are large dogs inside a small dog's body.
I would say, based upon what you briefly mentioned, to stay away from super high-energy, spazzy puppies....seek one out who is a bit calmer/mellower even though they're still a puppy. You could also adopt an adult...would that work for you...?
