As with most breeds, Yorkies are individuals and as such have their own unique personalities.......my little 2-1/2 pound ball of energy NEVER slows down, and is certainly not a couch potato. She is a live wire !!! I do take her with me every chance I get and she behaves very well when we are out, but at home she only stays still when she is exhausted, so, as many people will advise you, it might be better to look into getting a young mature dog that has already calmed down ( with good knees for agility performance).
