Puppy teeth question.... Petsmart ppl made me mad Ok guys sorry to ask yet another question. I took Gizmo today to petsmart. They have a puppy pack and it has a free puppy bath. I figured what could it hurt. I talked with them and left Gizmo in their care. I went to get him some more food and was paged. She VERY rudely told me it was not possible for him to be 9 weeks old. That they showed him to a vet and the vet said since not all of his teeth are in he is younger. I then asked her who the vet was. She skirted the question. I told her I was there for the birth (because I was) and that I had vet papers etc for shots yada yada. She still called me a liar. I immediately walked over to the vet office and made an appt tomorrow using the free vet visit coupon because 1) I'm worried now that something is wrong and 2) I want them to eat their words. I can't believe how rude they were. His mom was a rescue she was abandoned right before delivering and the people that took her had no ability to keep the puppies. I stepped in. I know his bday.
My long winded question is should he have all his teeth? Is it OK that some aren't in? He was the runt of the litter. He weighs in at a hefty .8 pounds. Ha-ha. He's just a little guy so I worry. He's getting his calorie supplement, his natural wet food and he drinks well. I still give him formula also a couple times a day. Just a small amount like the vet said. Thoughts? |
