Default Liver Shunt, advanced symptoms

I have a tiny gal who we rescued three years ago. She was on death's doorstep at the time, age 1 yr and diagnosed with a liver shunt. She was too small for surgery. She has done well on a liver shunt diet, lactulose and metronizadole up until about six months ago when she started having seizures. She responded well to treatment but six weeks ago she had another bad spell and although she responded well to treatment it was only three weeks before it happened again. Yesterday and today she has had difficulty in having a bowel movement. I am really at a loss as to what to do now as the vet says we are likely reaching the end of the road with her. I've searched the web trying to find information on final stages of liver shunt but found nothing. To complicate matters we are moving clear across Canada in two weeks. If my baby is in fact in final stages I don't want to risk her going into seizures in the middle of nowhere but if there is something I can do to keep her going I'm willing to try. I just need help in determining if she is in fact at the end. Does anyone have any experience in the final stages of liver shunt? Many thanks.
