Hi Paisley's mom, congrats on your new fur baby!
I was letting my Lacy have the run of the kitchen, but whenever I left the room to go elsewhere in the house, she would start crying. I had to spend many hours a day unpacking as I moved into a new home, and listening to her cry for hours was stressful. Then, I decided to put her in her iris pen in the bedroom, and she NEVER cries if I am in other areas of the house, even unpacking for a few hours, and that has saved my sanity. I guess our pups just have their preferred places where they feel comfortable. :-)
