There are so many that instead of picking the best dog, choose who is on the other end of the lead. If I know a judge is known for picking handlers or friends instead of the best dog, I don't waste my money by entering under them. When people start learning about those judges and not entering under them, even the handlers end up not getting any majors because of it. Takes time to learn who does and who doesn't. When I first started I didn't believe that that judges were like that, but time after time show people would say, this person or that person is gonna win under judge so-n-so and it actually happened I soon started watching real close for myself. The entry fees and the travel expense totals up, and I hate paying when I don't even have a chance to win. |
You are exactly right on all accounts! I have started keeping a notebook of what judges like what types of yorkies and I also have started a list of Judges I will not shown under!
By the way are you going to the Auburn show this coming weekend?
