First off, for those of you on this list who get extremely upset when we rehash an old post, please save yourself the anger and just don’t read any further. I did not bring this up again, I am only replying to other people’s posts, which I have a right to do.

Tricia, for knowing Kathy only casually for a few years, it surprises me that you think you know her so well. You KNOW that Zachary was not Kathy??? Really? Well, a bunch of us believe otherwise. She lied about where she was posting from, she posted 18 replies, ALL to my posts about Lacy, not to a single other person’s posts. She insinuated that I gave Lacy giardia by giving her bottled water! She came up with excuses for everything Kathy did. And tried to discredit everything I said. Kathy told me at the airport that she was ripped to shreds on YT, so I KNOW she read all of the posts here. So please don’t tell me that she does not come onto this forum and that she does not have time to read them. When she read them, if there were any untruths to what I said, I would think that she would have defended herself, don’t you? Every single word I spoke was 100% the truth.

How on earth could I be destroying someone by stating the 100% truth about what actually happened? Are we not allowed to share our experiences here? If the TRUTH destroys someone, it is NOT the fault of the person who tells the truth. WHAT malice behavior have I assigned to Kathy, pray tell?????

Hmmm, when I asked Kathy why she brought the sick puppy to the airport (that was supposed to be my puppy), she replied “Because I wanted you to see him.” That is exactly what she said. So if there was another reason, why would she not tell me what it was? And if she is so honest, WHY on EARTH did she not tell me that the girl had died and the boy was very sick? I was supposed to fly to Seattle early Saturday morning. Late Friday afternoon, I texted Kathy to ask her again what food her pups ate so I could have the same stuff. She texted back that she was bringing me two DIFFERENT pups than what we had agreed on! I was shocked. How can a breeder do that? When I called her, she would not tell me what happened. I was extremely upset to say the least. Here I thought I had finally found two pups, and I lost them before I even got them. I told her I would NOT take two other pups. When the breeder I know back home heard about what happened she felt very bad for me and said she had the pick of that litter and that I could buy that pup if I wanted, which was extremely nice of her to do. I agreed to buy this puppy and that is how I ended up with Lacy #2. And only AFTER she put lacy into my arms, did she tell me that my first little girl had died from eating chicken feet, and all the pups had eaten the feet. That is not honorable. She should have told me BEFORE I flew out to get the puppy, what happened to my first one, so I could have made a decision as to whether I wanted to take a chance buying this puppy. To be honest, if I had known that one puppy died, another one was very ill, and the new one that I was going to get had also eaten the feet, I would probably NOT have bought the puppy! I feel that is the reason she did not tell me until after she gave me the puppy She withheld very valuable information from me that should have been passed on to me. I was totally misled through this whole entire purchase! There was absolutely NO concern about me whatsoever, from her.

When I told Kathy that Lacy had giardia, she said none of her pups have giardia. I believed that she thought that was the truth. I certainly do NOT believe for one second that she intentionally gave me a pup with giardia. She just didn't know her pups had it. My vet said that there was a 100% chance the giardia came from the breeders home. I told Kathy that she needed to test her pups for it. I never heard back for her again. So I do not know if she tested her pups, or whether she didn’t. I hope she did. And she has never asked if Lacy is better, which she IS NOT! After two rounds of meds, she still tested positive for giarida, so she started her third treatment yesterday. And my vet says that some dogs never get rid of it, and some dogs do DIE from it. So, getting Lacy, who has had diarrhea or very soft poop now for the entire time I have her, over 3 weeks, (and over $500. in vet bills) it has not been a fun time. All of this would have been prevented if all breeders would just do a simple fecal exam on one of their puppies before selling them. Is that really too much to expect when you pay $3600. for a puppy? I personally think it is very irresponsible not to.

If I was a breeder, you would better believe that I would do a simple fecal test on one pup to ensure they did not have giardia before selling them. Because I would care about the people buying my pups and would want the transition for both puppy and new owner to go as smooth as possible. And if I heard that a pup I sold for a lot of money, had giardia when I sold it, I would definitely contact the person and offer to pay the vet bills. And not just ignore that person from that day forward! It is simply not fair to sell a pup that is SICK and not take some responsibility for the vet bills.
