A few months ago Kathy's husband became gravely ill and now she not only cares for him, she has to do the work he once did including the care of 9 acres. Kathy was helping a "friend" take care of a number of the "friend's" Biewers so that person could care for their husband. Kathy should have never agreed to do this but Kathy is used to a hard day's work and will always help someone in need. She has now been advised to return the dogs which she recently did.

I don't know who Zachary is but I know it is not Kathy. The reason I know it is not Kathy is because she does not post on forums and she does not talk like that. She also would not pretend to be someone else. She will post on FB but she does not have the time and does not care for this type of forum. Also, you have never met someone as honest as Kathy. She did not have to tell that chicken feet story but she did. Why would a breeder tell a story like that only makes them look careless because of the outcome? She lost a dog over her decision.

YorkieTalk is not to destroy people but to engage in healthy dialog to support and educate each other. I do not have any reason to distrust anything that Sharon has stated. But I am smart enough to know that there is more to the story. Kathy has her version of the events and I would wager that there is truth in Sharon's story and truth in Kathy's. Everyone has a perspective and rightfully so. It is fine for Sharon to say a puppy purchase went bust, it is fine for her to say that a puppy was unhealthy when delivered. It is not fine to destroy someone and assign malice behavior when no one knows for certain what Kathy was thinking and what actually happened.

Mark, I implore you or someone to go visit Kathy Scott in Rochester, WA. Bring a camera because you will think you entered a state park. It is beautiful there. She will answer every question, invite you into her home and tell you all about the events surrounding Sharon's situation. It may make Kathy look bad so do not be surprised if she admits fault. That is the beauty of Kathy and something that most people do not have - the honor and integrity to admit when she is wrong or makes a mistake. She will even explain why she brought the dog to the airport. What I do know is that Kathy did not intentionally do anything to cause all this malicious talk that does nothing to educate, or to better anyone. Kathy has been a breeder over 10 years and one YorkieTalk post may wipe out all the good things that she has done. When you leave Kathy's home you will know that you spent time with person with a good heart and with no intention on hurting anyone or any dog.

For all the people posting, I hope you visit Kathy, her website, FB page or just call and visit over the phone before you post one side of these events. Sharon, I hope that you find joy with your new puppy. I can tell you that puppies will pick up on the emotions of their owners so the sooner you can put all this behind you the sooner your puppy will adjust to their new home. You are going to be a good mom and you sound like you care dearly for dogs whether they are yours or for someone else. Good luck to you.

How nice of you to defend an (experienced) breeder that feeds chicken feet to 12 week old puppies.
How nice of you to defend a breeder that knows a promised puppy is DEAD due to feeding her chicken feet yet does NOT tell the buyer until the night before the buyer is going to fly to Wa, to pick up a promised puppy that died days before buyer was to pick up the puppy.
How nice of you to defend a breeder that when the buyer asked why was she NOT TOLD the promised puppy was dead when it died, and is told by the breeder she was going to bring a different puppy to the airport.
How nice of you to defend a dishonest breeder that held back the truth from a buyer and was going to let Sharon fly to Wa. and Kathy would just hand over another puppy.
I wouldn't care how many acres of property a breeder has, or how long she has puppies playing in a protected covered play area, or what a beautiful home the breeder has, or the celebrities that buy her puppies. This does not impress me one bit.
It is the HONESTY of the breeder I am concerned about. Kathy IMO is not an HONEST breeder, she knew the promised puppy died days before Sharon was to pick her up, yet she did not call Sharon to tell her of this.
She did not ASK Sharon did she want another puppy.
She was going to let Sharon fly to Wa, then surprise her with a different puppy.
I once asked a question "what do you mean buy the breeder before you buy the puppy"
Sharon's experience has answered that question very well to me.
