I have already spent $170. for meds for her, plus $250. emergency hospital visit. And the breeder, Kathy Scotts, has not even bothered to ask if Lacy is rid of the giardia. So thanks to you for asking. It is so sad when a breeder does not care about her pups or the people who buy them. For shame.
What you describe, Mark, is not what Lacy had. She had diarrhea for almost three weeks, and even now, it is still very soft and leaves a mess every time she poops. I will be very surprised if I hear tomorrow that the giardia is gone. So more vet bills ahead, I am sure. All because the breeder did not care enough to do one simple fecal test on one of her puppies to see if they had giardia. In my opinion, when you have a litter of three pups, and sell them for $7500. you should be able to afford to do ONE fecal test on one pup to make sure you don't sell them with Giardia! Anyone who doesn't is not a responsible breeder in my eyes. |
I hope the giardia is gone and the probiotics re-establish what needs to be in the gut of your pup, the good bacteria. Such a fragile time for your pup to be sick. Here's hoping for a full recovery!
Since this has happened, shame on the breeder for such practices.
