My dogs were the same way when I got them. I know how you feel. I also caved periodically. What I did was put a blanket over their kennel at night so they did not see me. That seemed to help. I put them in the kitchen but since I live in a studio apt it felt like they were in the same room as me. It will get easier. I think the first few weeks are the toughest. I felt so guilty letting them cry. Now they sleep with me in the bed or go to my couch to relax. |
