I wouldn't worry about her size affecting the procedure. I have a little girl that's charting 3.5-4lbs and asked my veterinarian about her size possibly making the future spaying of her difficult, and the doctor convinced me that it's not an issue. I think that surgery is done on small sized dogs quite often without any issues. But maybe do some research and talk to multiple doctors just to get an idea of whether or not you should worry. I would've been more worried myself about her having a litter of puppies at her size. I'm sure if you go back in the pedigree you'll probably find a 10 lb yorkie. I always heard that 5lbs was pretty much the minimum size for breeding. But who knows. I'm far from an expert on these things. Congrats on getting a yorkie though. That's exciting!
