It *will* be okay, it really will! But I totally understand your worry and concern.
Just be sure to go home w/ pain meds AND with a pain plan; ask what you're supposed to do if the pain does NOT appear to be managed - what then? That's what you really need to know, esp if your vet isn't open 24hrs for questions.
