Yes, I'm always mind boggled how many (most?) breeders will really just sell to almost anyone without, say, "counseling" them first...on the breed, on owning a dog/pet, on expenses, on puppies etcetera. I mean, they're the sellers - they should be the ones who are totally concerned about where these living, breathing creatures are going.
Heck, at the shelter where I volunteer one of the things I do is Adoption Counseling and we just feel it's SO important to educate educate educate and make sure the people are choosing a dog who fits their expectations. I think it's so important to find out people's expectations of pet ownership.
