I put belly bands on my boys.....except when I have them outside, they wear them whenever inside the house of I would have pee all over everything, from them "marking" their territory! You have a couple of things to get right....'First, you want to get a pad thick enough to catch the pee for the length of time you will be away from the house.....
Second, you want to be sure you keep him clean down there....wash the area under those pads with soap and warm water and dry well, between pad changes or in your case, when you get home in the evening and remove the pad. In your case, when you get home and remove the pad for good, just wash his area very well, dry well, and let him "air out"! I have done this on my breeding males for 12+ years and never had any problem, and mine wear their pads the entire time they are inside the house! |
